Caley – Puppy to age 18 on Mighty Medley

I adopted my Bichon Frise, Caley, as a puppy. This is at the time that I first formulated my superfood supplement for my Cocker Spaniel, Casey. I immediately started feeding it to Caley so Mighty Medley was part of Caley’s daily diet throughout her entire life.
Bichon life expectancy is 12-14 years, but Caley lived a healthy, active life until age 18 (which is over 100 people years). Caley loved to run! She ran almost every day until her passing. She was famous for showing off how fast she could run with all four feet off the ground; her ears flying back in the wind, circling back with super fast hairpin turns. She was vibrant and bright eyed her entire life. She played hard and long with Alley, my British Golden Retriever who was four times her size. She lived a long and healthy life. She passed away cancer and dementia free, still maintaining optimum mobility up to the very end. This photo was taken when Caley was 15 years old.
I have videos of Caley running each year through her 18th birthday. She developed a heart murmur later in life that her vet said was a genetic issue, and not preventable. It was eventually the cause of her death. Her vet said, “Sometimes things just wear out when we’re 100 years old.”
I do credit Mighty Medley for Caley’s healthy, extended and vibrant life!
